Gangtey Tshechu

The Gangtey Goempa observes an annual religious festival in its courtyard. The Tshechu comprises showcasing of different sacred masked dances and cultural dances. People from nearby villages and around the country gather at the Goempa to witness the masked dances

The sight of the festival is a mesmerizing one as the monks spin and swirl wearing uniformed brocade dresses and their intricately carved and polished masks glimmer at the sun hitting its edge and the crowd watches the dances with awestruck
