Further up through the forest of blue pine, oak and rhododendrons is Choechotse monastery (3650 m), from where we will have a view of beautiful Paro valley.

A short uphill climb from the monastery, clearing juniper, larch and silver fir forest is the far sight of Bumdra monastery (3900 m) across the vast pasture land.

Our campsite for the night is just below Bumdra Monastery, an only semi-permanent campsite in Bhutan with wooden beds for the night. On a clear day, enjoy sunset across Haa valley from this campsite.
